Recording from sky plus box to a DVD
1 Answers
I have connected my TV to a sky plus box and to Daewoo -DVD Recorder + VCR. I can record any programme from the sky plus box direct to a recordable disc inserted in the daewoo recorder. I have also previously recorded programmes direct onto the sky plus box which is obviously very easy and gives you the benefit of no advance arrangement for any recording. By this I mean while you are watching a programme and suddenly something appears on it which is worth recording all you have to do is press a single button and it starts to record on the box hard drive. I have now almost used most of the space on the box hard drive and want to tranfer those programmes onto a dvd disc for future reference etc. The problem is I can't seem to transfer these on to a recordable dics by recording it through the daewoo dvd recorder. I wonder if any one knows what I am doing wrong??

This means setting the dvd recorder up manually and choosing AV1 (or whichever is the relevant one) as the channel and playing the hard drive.
Try turning the dvd on so you are watching tv through that - when you change channel on the dvd the channel on the tv changes.
Now turn your hard drive on to play - and change channel on the dvd until you see the hard drive on your tv screen - either by pressing the AV button repeatedly, or changing the channel down from zero.
When you get the right picture on the tv screen, you will know which channel to record.
Hope this makes sense.
