I use: AusLogics Disk Defrag
But another good tool is: SpeedItup Free
If you still don't have enough space on "C" i recomend you purchase a proffesional defragger. Although i did manage to free 52MB from my hard drive in just one use.

Sorry
don't understand the answers ...
you say you have another drive .....
whenever you save a file .... you are asked where to save it (the default is generally "my documents" - which is almost certainly on your c:
you can move my documents (which will also change the default for future saves...
right click my documents ... click on move ... select your free drive ... answer yes to all the questions and windows will move all your existing files to the new location

Well it depends how you are uploading the videos, like what are you using, usb? memory card and memory slot? Are you using software you got with the camcorder? If you are using usb and software just stop using the software and put the files on d: instead of c:, same with a memory slot.
I do not advise putting my documents in d: it can mess your PC up because other programs use it. Please be a bit more specific so we can answer properly.

Seems to me that if you have another drive with lots of free space that is the most obvious destination for your files.
you certainly don't need a new drive ... and it doesn't matter if you are using usb or memory cards - what matters is where you put the files
if you move my documents using the method I gave
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310147
windows changes the %my documents% variable to reflect the changes and so any and all applications will "see" the destination (I've used this method without problem since win2000)
also by moving the entire "my docs" folder you will free valuable space on your system drive
(ntfs and windowslike about 20-25% free space to operate efficiently)
