Playing XP games on vista

up untill yesterday dell we selling pcs with the option of XP on them still. however today they are not. i should have bought one yesterday!! Are games designed to run on XP such as roller coaster ******, sims etc still ok to install on vista, or will they not work with vista??? epcbuyer.com are still selling XP pcs but they are more expensive, and if i can put up with vista, i will

But if you call Dell (the number is at the top of their webpage)and tell them the spec of the pc you want, and the price that you are ready to pay (per their screen, go through everything and accept vista if there's no XP option) they will facilitate an xp option over the phone.
If you plan on gaming don't bother with Vista. Games will run but slower.
I've just bought myself a new machine and I thought I'd give Vista a go to see how the computer coped. I lose an average of 50 frames per second with Half Life 2 compared to running it under XP. I'll not be installing Vista again untill I have no option.
