Adobe photoshop/Corel Photo-paint effect

I just found a picture of my friend (http://img26.picoodle.com/img/img26/9/7/17/rm_ curtis/f_ellienorm_631d6f6.jpg/%22%20target=/% 22_blank/%22%3E%3Cimg%20src=/%22http://img26.p icoodle.com/img/img26/9/7/17/rm_curtis/t_ellie norm_631d6f6.jpg ) which has been adapted using photoshop or something similar. I really like this effect, and I want to do the same sort of thing to my photos. I only have Corel photo paint on my computer at the moment. Does anyone know how do to this effect, or can point me in the direction of any good tutorials?

looks like it could be ....hit shift and z together and move the slidebar left (BUT DONT FORGET TO MAKE A ORIGINAL COPY BEFORE!!!) hope this helps....
