Last time computer used

I want to find out if my computer was turned on while i was away from the office. Unfortunatly i have used it quite abit since. If anyone knows a way of checking when the pc was turned on i would be most greatful.

well you could look in the history and see if a trail has been left there. although it could have been cleared
are you meaning internet use or just the word?

No i just want to know if someone has switched on my PC. The internet history gets cleaned down everyday.

Windows XP writes messages to the Event log every time it starts up and shuts down.

Go into the Windows control panel and find Administrative Tools (probably under Performance and Maintenance)

In there find and open the Event Viewer.

Have a look at the Application log and the System log.

There should be a load of information and warning message in there and if you look at the date and time the messages were put there you can see when the computer was used.
