Converting MPEG-4 to MP3 on apple MacBook
Hi...
I have a question which could have possibly been answered already but I still can't figure it out;
I have an apple MacBook (Mac OS X Version 10.4.10). I have recently started to download some tunes from the iTunes store (I have iTunes 7.3.1) which I've found really simple (!!!)
Ok, so the problem I've got (which seem to be the same as lots of others) is that they are all in this protected MPEG-4 format so if I try to send any of them to my phone to play in my MP3 player they won't work. I've tried to download the software suggested (dbpoweramp) but when I click the download button, nothing happens. SO.... can anyone advise a)what the best software is for my laptop and b)exactly how I would download it.
Many thanks for any help ! Em

Another good site is 7digital.com
To convert the music you already have downloaded, add it to a playlist and burn it as an audio CD (you'll have to check that its set to burn as audio and not mp3 in the preferences), then just put the CD back in and rip your music like you do a normal audio CD. You'll now have your music in unprotected format.
