address bar

when i type anything in on my address bar it usually stays there for 20 days, thats what its set at, but since i cleared it the other day i have to write in each time i look for a site, even if id looked at it the site before last if you follow what i mean! any ideas? many thanks

Itsounds as though instead of deleting your history in the normal manner, you have set the 'pages to keep history' to zero.
In IE go to Tools/Internet options/General/Browsing history and select Settings. At the bottom of the page you are given the option to select however many days you wish to retain history.
