Extra characters in file extension
I've downloaded a zipped up version of a program, when the program is unzipped it has added extra characters to the file extension, for example abc.htm now reads as abc.htm;1. There are quiet a few files in the directory with the extra (;1) characters. Is there any program available that can rename the current files and remove the extra characters(;1) from the file extension

The browser is Firefox, but that has nothing to do with it. I just listed some files from the directory which happened to have .htm extensions, but there are other file types such as .exe, .bmp, .dll and they all have ;1 at the end
Hve a look at the answers to this question (there is a link to a file renaming utility, which may help)
