100% Random Fruit Machines
5 Answers
Can anybody explain why these 500 jackpot fruit machines claim to be 100% random yet have an Average payout of 90, 92 or 94%. How can you state an Average payout if the machine is 100% random??
Doesn't make sense.

They are just covering themselves against someone doing a study and determining, for say, 10000 plays for example, the payout differred from the quoted average. I don't think they claim to be random though in any case the payout percentage and the randomness (or not) are unrelated arithmetically. Generally with fruit machines they try and and pay out what they are programmed to in a series of small/medium and very occasionally large payouts, they would have some programming in them that is designed to keep people playing, it's turnover that counts so I'd be surprised if they are random.
If you flip one coin theoreticallly it will come up heads 50% of the time. Flipping two coins on average at least on will come up heads 75% of the time. Based on how many coins and how many tosses the odds can be determined mathematically for a certain outcome although do to the nature of random actions the average expected outcome is in no way certain.
True randomness does not exist in nature and is an illusion brought about by an inability to be aware of and integrate all the underlying causes to determine without a doubt the ultimate effect that will be realised.

I believe that these new machines are indeed 100%
What this means though is that there is no preprogrammed way for the plays.
ie you cannot force it to 'streak' like you can on older machines (you know by refusing wins and hence putting the percentage up which forces the machine to streak).
these machine are in deed totally ramdom in that there is no set play program -sorry i cant be more clearer as it is hard to put it into words
