media player won`t burn to disc

why won`t my media player burn to disc?,it won`t recognise my burner for some reason,any idea`s please

Is your cd drive a cd writer or just a cd player?

it`s a cd/dvd burner ethel,which i know works as i can still burn movies to disc using other progs no problem

can you burn using "normal" methods
ie nero or whatever you use?

i was using mp 10 but upgraded to mp 11 because i thought it might help. yes i can use my burner on all other progs just not media player.

media player can be very sniffy about what it will copy

i dunno if this helps but the last time it worked was when i ripped a cd for my b.i l to put onto his mp3 player whichi did thru mp10 and now mp will not recognise my burner.
