From the illustration it looks like an HP Pavillion dx6000.

If Littlewoods can't tell you the model, then how will you know if they've sent you the right one?

plowter is nearly right, I think it is a HP DV6000. You can see this if you enlarge the picture.

I have searched the web and I think the exact model is the DV6317 as the specs for this match what littlewoods say.

Here it is on the HP site

HP are a good make but you are probably paying maybe 100 over the top as it is from a catalog. It is a discontinued model but this is not unusual because laptops are replaced by new models every six months or so.

Here is a similar model from staples at 374 so if you bought that you would save over 100 and notice almost no difference.

If you would prefer to buy from the catalog then I think the HP from them is fine (if a little overpriced), the only problem is if it goes wrong getting it back to Littlewoods.

If you buy it from a Staples shop and it goes wrong you can take it straight back there.
vehelpfulguy lives up to his name, as always.

Can I just say that I zoomed in on the image to try to read the model number. I'm not a laptop spotter. I don't have an anorak. I don't have a beard.

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/132349/ is the same price as the catalogue but double the RAM and is an Intel Core 2 Duo :)
its a hp pavilion dv6000
