norton 360

My pc is extreamly slow n cant get some of the applications to work.last year i bought norton security thing n it worked but has now lapsed so i went today n bought norton 360 but when i put it in the cd rom i cant even get it to run and my pc is still slow n hardly working please help on what im doing wrong

Well whatever shape your PC's in Norton won't make it run any faster it is a well known resource hog

It's probably full of spyware viruses and trojans

Uninstall Norton

Download Avast Antivirus, adaware,spybot and 'a sqaured' antispyware
After you have done all these do a defragmentation report back if it is not faster by then

Can you let us know the PC or laptop what you are using.

Also

What CPU (processor)?
How much memory?
How large is your hard disk?
How much room left on the hard disk?
What operating system(Windows version)?

This should give us an idea of how your PC should be performing.

You can get a lot of this info by running a small program called System Information that comes with most versions of Windows. Look for it on the Start menu.
