Laptop Switching off

Hi there , my Hp laptop switches itself off repeatedly when I am online , yet I can watch a film on it no problem at all......I am with aol ,
any ideas ?

what version of windows(?)?
what are you doing when it switches off?
(it's not your power setting going into suspend mode is it? - IE on it's own isn't generally enough to prevent suspend - media player is!)

How/what happens when you switch on / restart

thanks for the reply , I am usualy just on aol , or downloading music , i am on windows xphome , but like i said if i am watching a film while not on aol , its ok
