Nissan Figaro - problems starting the engine
0 Answers
Hi guys,
I hope you can help!
I have a 1991 Nissan Figaro (Japnese import, looks like Columbo's car). Recently I have had some trouble with starting the engine in the mornings. I thought it was due to the car being cold, but it is kept in a garge overnight, therefore is not exposed to the cold night air. Also a friend of my boyfriend's has one, and has experienced no problems whatsoever.
Basically the engine starts, will run for a couple of seconds and then gradually dies, until it turns off completely. I've noticed that the lights dim a little too. If I rev the engine and whack it in gear, it will drive off after about 3 attempts. Once it's going, it's absolutely fine! I have problems when leaving for work in the mornings, however when I return to my car in the evening, it starts fine.
I have just been made redundant, so I'm hoping it won't be a huge problem, as I'm really strapped for cash at the moment! Can anyone give me an indication of what it might be?
Thanks!
