Windows Vista Slow Start Up

I have an Easynote Packard Bell laptop (Easynote BG46-P-004) and it takes AGES to load up everytime! It runs on Vista as standard. Is it because it is Vista, i.e. should I downgrade to Windows XP?

vista tends to chug a little ... but your lappy is up to the job
how much disc space have you got free?

cc cleaner is very good .... but if you have more than 20% free ... be conservative with the settings .... not all "disposable" files are expendable .... (unless you are desperate)
