pc going slow

my pc has suddenly started slowing down does anyone know what i could do to speed it up again before i throw it through the window cos its driving me nuts manmy thanks

Hi.......I guess you have done a search for mal-ware ( viruses or spyware) that;s often the cause.

sorry if this is basic but you could try:
- don't save things directly onto the desktop such as documents. Keep them with the C drive in your documents folder etc.
- free up space by deleting what you don't need
- Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter
-Remove temporary files
