keyboard keys - help!
two questions that everyone except me probably know the answers to:
1) is there only one "tab" key on a keyboard? Isn't there one on the left side somewhere?
2) what does the symbol on the top right mean when it's lit up? The one next to the CAPS LOCK light? It's a little downward arrow and a little line.

Typewriters used to have two tab keys, but they a) were mechanical devies and the carriage had physically to move right or left and b) had fewer keys anyway, and could spare the space for a tab key operated by either hand. Next to my caps lock led is the scroll lock led - guess that's what your little downward arrow means.
Hi crisgal - I'm no expert, but -
My "Tab" key is on the left, above "Caps Lock"
The top right light is "Scroll Lock" (middle of the top right-most 3 keys) - see:-
