Volume control on task bar

I have lost my Volume icon off my task bar, therefore I cannot control the Volume.

I have right clicked on the task bar, clicked on customize, highlighted Volume, click always show, clicked OK and Apply, but it still is not on the task bar.

Can anyone please help?

No problem - go to control panel, audio devices and there is a check box for placing volume on the task bar - I assume this is OK with you but if you need more detailed instructions come back...
