Every browser (Netscape, IE, Opera etc.) wants to be the "default browser", and asks for it...Exept when you clicked on "dont' ask this question again" (or something like that). So the question never appears again... And then comes the problem : how can I change my default browser ? Somewhere in the registry ? In other words : where keeps Windows 98 track of which browser it has tot start reading html-pages ?

Open IE. Then Options/internet-options/programs. Change it there. Cheers, PD

Thanks PD for your answer, this is indead the way to make Internet Explorer ask the question again about to be the default browser. But what to do if you want Netscape 6.1 to be the default bowser ? Or Opera 5.2 ?

Basically you follow the same steps. Choose your favourite browser from the pull down menu to be your default browser. At the bottom of the dialog box you will see a checkbox that reads "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser." Make sure this box is not checked. After that, you won't be "nagged" anymore. Cheers, PD
