feedin my camcorder live to my laptop

hi

i am doi a presentation and we are using a laptop connected to a projector screen. We wanted to use a camcorder to project the image live to the projector so everyone could see the demo we were doing. any ideas how this can be done..

is there some software to use that can show this image from teh camcorder and then shows on the laptop screen which we know will then show on the projector

Could you not just use a webcam connected to the laptop ?

it depends in the laptop connectors (as well as ones on the cam)

Difficult to answer as you haven't told us the connections on either the camcorder or the projector. But assuming you have the right leads and connections ( most projectors have more than just the vga one) Simply plug the camcorder video out into the spare video in on the projector, then switch to that input when making the demo.
