IE7 does have better security. It has a phishing checker which checks if the web site you are going to is genuine or not.

As you do banking online this may be very useful.

It also has tabbed browsing, which allows you to open two or more web pages in the same browser window.

Note there is also a browser called Firefox which is free and many people prefer it over IE6 or IE7.

Firefox is more secure than IE6 or IE7 as people are less likely to write viruses for Firefox than for IE6 or IE7.

You can get Firefox from here

Note you can have Firefox on your PC as well as IE6 or IE7.

You can choose to use one of them, or either of them, or both of them.

So to install Firefox you dont need to uninstal IE6 or IE7.

And if you install Firefox and dont like it for some reason then you can just leave it on your PC and stop using it.

Many thanks vehelpfulguy for the imformation. I have now installed Firefox and tried to install IE7 but was unable to . Will try again with one of your links. When I have installed it and have the 3 on the desktop, is it a case of just double clicking on the browser I fancy that day?
It would appear that I will use Firefox for banking IE7 for surfing(answerbank) and IE6 for outlook express. Is this logical?
