how do I connect my tv,dvd recorder, sky + using hdmi

Hi, I have a Sony Bravia TV, HDMI cable, a Sony GX350 DVD recorder & sky+ box ( & scart leads). How do I connect them up so I can watch sky, record from sky with dvd & play dvds?
Please help dippy single parent who cant make sense of all instruction manuals?
