Plug & Play / Broadband on the go

I'm considering getting 'plug & play' dongle which I've recently seen advertised, whereby you plug a dongle into USB port on your laptop and can access broadband wherever you are. Has anyone got one and can you recommend it? I've already got access to broadband at home thru my phoneline (Tiscali) and wondered if using another provider thru the USB dongle would that affect my laptop in any way? Also who provides this new "plug and play" .. I think "3" and "T mobile", anyone else? Also (sorry so many questions) would you recommend a contract or pay as you go with this? Thanks for any advice. Vodafone is very good - �15 per month plus the dongle.

It won't effect your home broadband in any way.

Do not get the vodafone as I have a chapter of incidents which would fill 3xA4 sheets. Also I was paying �30.00pm, but now �15 but is going up again. I cancelled my agrement last week and have not yet heard from them except a call the next day saying they had my letter. My last call to thelasted for 69mins without getting the thing to work. When I told the tech guy the length of call I was paying he said they would call me back. I am still waiting

That's a shame - I've had no problem with them after the initial installation, when I had to get them to remove the filters.
