Xmas Cartoon Movie

I'm looking for a cartoon movie that was seemingly always shown at Christmas even though I don't remember anything about Xmas in the plot. It was story about a road race around a mountain featuring cartoon animals. It's not Wacky Races (I don't think so anyway) unless there was a Wacky Races movie, and was shown a number of times, on BBC1, on Xmas day mornings in the early-mid 80s (as I remember opening my presents while it was on). Any ideas?

Not sure about the race bit but I remember "The Ra***** and the Lost Star" featuring Cyril Sneer which was a cartton about animals and involved a mountain
