Can anyone out there please recommend a 'freeware' keyboard macro. I have a long email address which I frequently have to enter as my user name. I would like to run, as a startup program, a simple keyboard macro program that would enter my email address whenever I enter a keboard shortcut e.g. '<alt>e' or something similar. I've tried a few that appear at first to be freeware but they are generally more complex than I need (eg enabling other programs to be called etc) and they ask for money after a few free days. I'm not particularly a 'tight wad' but don't want to fork out for something so basic.
Any help will be most gratefully received.

Thanks Mark, I've tried ahk and, as you predicted, after a few false starts I've got it to work. Not sure I've fully understood how or why, but the main thing is it works. Thanks again for your recommendation.
