I recently had a virus and had to reinstall windows XP. Since then every time I close Internet Explorer it wipes the history clean. Is there an option somewhere to change this as I want to keep my history. I've been throught all the internet options I can find . I found one that was something like "empty history when closing explorer" and unchecked that but it has made no difference.
Any help appreciated.
Click on the "General" Tab and look for the second item - Browsing History, then click on "Settings"
Days to keep pages in history (right down at the bottom of the screen) - presumably this is set to 0 or 1 at the moment - just adjust to whatever you want (maximum 999 days)
Jugglering - i just had a flash in inspriation and I was right. It was a setting in my Anti-Virus/Firewall software called "Privacy Manager". It has a setting to wipe everything when IE closes.
Mystery solved. Thanks for your help.
