Hi, I'd like to establish if any Corsa owners (Reg yrs 53 & 04) have had any problems with the CV Boot. We have two Corsa's and the CV Boots always need to be refitted. Vauxhall suggest there isn't a known problem but I would like to find out if this is not the case. If it is a design fault then we all need to know and possibly challenge them. Its not the first time our cars have been recalled, they are currnetly recalling certain yrs to correct the ABS control unit! Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

I was led to believe there was a modifyed clip for the CV boot to combat this common problem
not aware of any modification but you are right there is a problem with the clips that hold the gaitor onto the cv joint they are always breaking, i tend to use jubilee clips a they are a lot better, incidentally same problem on renault clios and renault megane scenics.
the boots go hard the only thing you can do is replace the boots there cheap to buy happened on my 03 clio
Hi, Internal boots have Grease, External, I would after fitting and using plastic ties put a coat of oil on the boot, when the car is due for it's MOT clean the boot of the oil, after the MOT start again.
