vista and avg

can anyone tell me how to get a v g off my computer,i have tried everything to no avail,help !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not exactly a fan of AVG --- so removing it is something I've done a lot of
and generally it comes off a treat (you are using add/remove ... (or whatever it's called in vista ;-)?)

only problem I've had is an old version of avg which wasn't compatible with vista.

try downloading the latest version ... install ,,,, and then uninstall

I don`t get it!!!! Some AB guys say AVG is terrific and now ACtheTroll says he/she is`nt a fan of AVG, well, I have Vista and find it`s doing a great job..........so there!!!!! Why remove it anyway? I`d like to know what problems you are having. I recommend it.

Ive been helping someone with a similar problem, but theirs is down to a friend not using the Norton removal tool first and now has 3 versions of AVG on their Vista pc, none working.

This kind of thing isnt my forte but Ive asked them to try out Revo Uninstaller.

I have no idea if it will work as yet, but I should point out Ive also had to do a regsearch for all things AVG, to ensure a complete removal.

Any opinions on Revo are welcome, Ive never tried myself.

I've always heard glowing reports for AVG myself & have used it for years with no problems

I use AVG too, but Ive seen a few similar postings regarding AVG and Vista this week, where the icon is staying greyed out and it refuse to uninstall.

I havent found a solution yet.
