If you are renewing an Italian passport that ran out about 5 years ago, do you need to have the part of the form filled in and photos signed by a counter signature?
Been trying to find out online, as we have been told they are not needed, but something I have just seen said if the passport was issued more then 10 years?
You'd need to ask an Italian Embassy or Consulate - no-one on here is likely to know much about anything other than UK passports.
If it was a UK passport the answer would be no, provided your new photo and the old one were obviously the same person. The Italians may or may not have a similar rule.
My hubby holds a Portugese passport, evry time it is due for renewal he has to go for an interview in London, it can take up to six weeks to get an appt, and they wont let you through the door without one, they renew the passport and the I.D. card at the same time. Presume Italian embassy will be similar.
Why not fill it all in & get photos signed just in case you need to, if you dont they will just ignore it, but you have all angles covered.
