cheapest webcam/microphone

I'm after a really cheap webcam/microphone for my desktop as I am now confined to the house a bit more since losing my leg. I can only afford a cheap one so i can keep in touch with my scattered family.

simple answer logitech!

in my opinion the best webcams on the market, and more important the best software.

how cheap do you call cheap I have a QuickCam Pro 9000 and it's fantastic

but I also have a QuickCam for Laptops which works well, not such good quality and a very short lead! but it's good enough for most people

I have the Logitech around �25 from Argos,and use it from here in the uk to Australia..I see Argos are doing one reduced at the moment for �9.99 reduced from �24.99..Can't get any cheaper than that. Hope this elps.

I have the brilliant Logitech 5000 but sold the equally good 4000 of which there is one going on ebay at the moment (ending 13th). Worth �20 of anyones money IMHO.

thank you all. I took wendilla's advise and looked in the argos catalogue and my wife went to argos and picked me up one for �9.95 this morning (must have been behaving myself cos she just said ok and toddled off to get it...lol)
I have it set up and God I'm really ugly.
