My daughter is doing A Level photogrpahy, and it is coming to the point where she HAS to choose a digital camera, but just cannot decide between the two. Please help. It is basically between these two cameras,

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.the Z200 is on that page too. It looks as if the main difference is more megapixels. For most practical purposes you're never going to need more than about 6 megapixels anyway. Unless your daughter has been told she'll need some specific feature on her camera, just go for whatever one looks nicest, or costs least, or is lightest and easiest to carry, or whatever your preferred criterion is. As all are made by the same company, you should get much the same performance from all of them (and Fuji are said to be good ones.)
Well, as I indicated in my response to your previous post, unless your daughter has been specifically told to buy a 'pocket' or 'compact' digital camera, I don't think that any of the cameras you mention are particularly appropriate to an A-level photography course. (I've taught photography to students but only on a recreational, rather than academic, basis). I still stick with my original recommendation of the S5700. (It's got a better optical zoom than any of the models you suggest and allows for better manual, or semi-manual, control of the aperture and shutter speeds. It's also no dearer than the cameras you suggest):

The three cameras you refer to are all so similar in their specifications that, if it really has to be one of those models, I'd simply recommend following Jno's advice and buying the cheapest.

This is where they are on the Fuji website.
The J50 is in the Fun and Easy range, whilst the Z100 and the Z200 can be found under the heading of Slim Compact. The only way to decide on which camera is to let your daughter hold them and feel which is the most comfortable and also whether the controls are easy to locate - not in an awkward place.
