Any time I try to open the webcam I get a message "camera not found". I have downloaded drivers from acer, I have down loaded yawcam to test the webcam and still the message is the same. It is not listed in device manager. Acer suggest restore the machine to its factory standing. Anyone any ideas?

did you follow the yawcam instructions to set up your router to allow the cam to work with your client (msn yahoo etc),i just set up my wifes 2nite its the same laptop as yours it took about 30mins to get the cam running thru msn,we use a netgear router and following yawcams instructions it was fairly easy to do.hope this sheds some light for you.
Goto acers website, click on support and the locate and download the driver for the webcam then run the file it downloads, this will install/reinstall the driver. then restart and try again.
