printer problems

2 things - first - printer worked fine yesterday, now whenever i go to print it keep moving the paper to the right by itself causing itself to jam. Ive had a look inside and it seems to be something to do with some springs...? any ideas?

secondly - i tried installing the drivers on my vista and it worked, accept it mentioned there could be compatability problems - whenever i send the page to print, it gets stuck saying nothing but error - is this vistas way of saying my printer is too old?

btw, its called epson stylus rx420 if that means anything!
