Free Online Antivirus Remover

Do any of you nice AB folk know of any good and reliable free online software that checks and removes viruses on a Vista operating system?

my son has just installed Kaspersky internet security in his laptop and my pc too, it looks pretty good so far

Thank you for your speedy response, but I do not want to install the software on to my pc but only to use one that is available online from a Anti virus web site.

I cannot recommend an online scanner.

They find false positives and then want money to remove what was never there in the first place.

Why don't you want to download the software? I guarantee all of my links are virus free, free and effective.

I use "AVG Free" and have had no bother so far.

online isn't good ... if a website can get into your important little places - you are vulnerable the whole idea of protection is that it stops everything getting in and deals with anything that has before it can do damage.

there is a train of thought that says if you back up a clean system .... run without anything ... and accept that you'll heve to restore on a regular schedule.

it depends on your vices ... and only an idiot would bank or store important data on it - but as a surf and games machine it's always going to be faster

All of your advise have been valuable to me. I will take Ethels' advice. Furthermore, I agree with the comments regarding false positives, and that using the online software can be risky.
