I have a disc for Microsoft Office 2003, which can upgrade 3 computers.

I have used it twice on our desk top and laptop, both on XP.

If I replace the desktop with a Vista one, could I load the disc onto it?

I think Vista was a twinkle in a programmers eye when Office 2003 was produced.

not even a twinkle

It's an odd one
as an update ... the assumption is you've already got ... office 95 or 97? - so on vista it wouldn't be an upgrade

Or do you mean a three license install .... in which case I don't see a problem

It's a disc to install on 3 computers (sorry, shouldn't have used the upgrade word inappropriately).

I just wondered if Vista would accept something not written for it. I am not that knowledgable on the giblets inside a computer.
2003 is sort of compatible - for some reason microsoft are very non-committal about it and vista.

but I've never actually heard of anyone who hasn't used it successfully with the big V.

I've got to admit ...I've sacked 2007 - I just can't get to grips with the infernal "ribbon" - and the new format might be superior ... but I'm hanged if I can see how
I've got Microsoft Office 2003 on my own built Vista pc and it works a treat, no problems.
