Having trouble Connecting PS2 to online play from (ISP) Cox Cable

How do you open ports in order to configure PS2 console to be able to connect online with router-bridge hookup? Also, when trying to configure my PS2 to play online, If I was to put in settings manually, do I need the IP adress,Subnet mask, Default Gateway addy from the Desktop PC, Router, OR Bridge? I continue to get Network Configuration Error -612 when trying to connect online.
