Yes you can look in the event log and see if there are any events listed for th dates you were away.

If you are using Windows XP or Vista you can easily stop someone using your computer.

Go into the Windows Control Panel and find "User Accounts".

Set a password on your user account and then anyone who wants to log on will have to put in the password.

(This assumes there is only one User Account which is yours, If there are more you will need to passwod protect them all)
