connecting my laptop to my tv

hello ,

I am just about to buy a new laptop acer 7730 and I noticed on the spec that it has a "tv out" but my tv does not appear to have a computer in so wondered if it would be possible to still connect it.
The tv has scart and hdmi sockets

the TV out is either a Svideo or a composite output so it can go into the scart on the TV with the correct lead.
