I have transferred 4sides of two audio tapes to the pc.I have separated and labelled each track also titled each track .I have exported all 4 sides to WAV and then exported the multiples. My problem is although I named each track they came out only numbered,( I didn't realise) so when each side of 10 tracks were exported each one over wrote the next one.I thought that I had filled in the Export multiples window correctly but??????? Can anyone help please????

I take it you've followed this wiki guide as to how to do multiples

http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=S plitting_recordings_into_separate_tracks

On the export multiple there is an option to number consecutively or to use label . If you want to use lable make sure that radio button is selected.

On the overwriting problem that's because Audacity will do this unless you uncheck the overwrite existing files option in the bottom left corner.

The more I ask the more of an idiot I seem to be!! Your last e-mail pug 100,was very helpful.I've searched high n' low but where is the RADIO BUTTON??? You didn't want it easy did you Thanks!!!!!
Sorry, a radio button is the type of circle with a black dot in the middle if it is selected like the one pictured here.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_button

There is a selection box when you choose export multiple choosing one will deselct the other option uder split files and name files. The check box bottom left does the overwrite exisitng files option.

Thanks pug 100 for your last answer. The over writing part is ok,but not so with naming individual tracks. All I get is each track named by the folder name ie Beatles plus number of the track.
e.g Beatles 1 Beatles 2 etc.No titles even though I put them in at the label stage.......!!!!!!!!!!!
