How backwards compatable is Vista?

But it might...

Only way to know for sure is to try.
Try using the Program Compatibility Assistant in Vista.

"simple" isn't really the deciding factor ... it's how old the method of coding is
even then just because it was written for windows 95 doesn't mean it won't work
and you are unlikely to damage anything by trying

Thanks for the answers. Trying it to find out was obviously an option, (Chuck), but that involves buying the software, and opening the sealed box, rendering it impossible to return if it didnt work.
I went ahead and bought it, (it was 'a stocking filler' present for my wife) so we shall se what happens when I install it on Boxing Day!
