Acer Aspire 5735 - Can't load Windows
3 Answers
Bought an Acer Aspire 5735 just b4 xmas. Just got round to setting it up.
When I try to open Windows 2007 (which is installed already) it asks me to enter a 25 letter and number product code to verify it, otherwise I'll apparently lose a load of functions after 25 "uses". (Hope that makes sense!)
Prob is that altho I have entered the product code as attached to the laptop (found as detailed in instructions) it keeps saying that it is incorrect, and will not accept it. Checked, double checked, triple checked etc, tried all ways of typing it in, but no joy.
Tried Tech Support/Helpline but obviously closed.
Can anyone throw any light on what I'm doing wrong, and can anyone help please?

Errr - Yeh!!! Office 2007!!
Obviously been at the brandy butter too much!
I must admit I was surprised to see it there as I was told laptop came with Vista!
Is Vista as easy to use as Office? All my docs etc are Office. I know it comes from the same company, but is everything compatible? Will I be able to copy my backup and transfer documents with no problems?

Office and Vista are two very different things.
Vista is the version of windows, which is the operating system that makes your computer work.
Office is a collection of programs that runs under vista (or other versions of windows) that enable you to write documents (word) or make spreadsheets (excel) etc
If you want to be able to open and work with Office documents then you will either have to buy microsoft office or there is a free alternative called open office that has much of the same functionality as microsoft office. (though you will have to set it in the options to save in MS office format if you want it to be compatible)
