I bought this camera recently but didn't buy a memory card to go with it, now when I try to take any pictures the camera says the internal memory is full up after only 4 pictures have been taken. The product spec says the camera has 17mb internal memory, would this equate to 4 pictures or should there be room for more pictures.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks.

I've just formatted the memory but again I've only taken 4 pictures and the memory is full again.

I'm lost.
you could reduce picture quality lower mp then get more
Camera's internal memory is for 'spec' - menu etc. Try a bigger memory smart card. Usually the higher pixel size the more memory and longer download time to emails!
The internal memory is used for many operations and not just for taking pictures. Setting up operational preferences, menu etc. You may find that when pictures are taken using the internal memory they may not be stored after the camera has been switched off.
it's like buying an old style camera ... and forgeting the film
... it's saturday ... and your bus is due in 10 mins ... better get your coat ...

don't go mad ... a couple of 2Gb cards is better (and often cheaper) than a 4 ... just in case you loose or corrupt one
