apple powerbook g4 problem

what application do you need to install softwear for a mp3 player.? when i put in the disc that i got with my sony mp3 player it says choose an application.but which application.? not used to a apple powerbook so not sure what to do,please help..

looks like sony and mac don't mix

a quick look round seems to say that the somy software is Windows only

Perhaps one of the MACintosh men will know an alternative ... but it seems that the best you are likely to get is to plug it in and hope that your machine sees it as a USB drive.

Pretty sure no Sony music software runs on MACs, I've never found one anyhow. On the other hand since Sony's SonicStage is so bloomin appalling perhaps that is no bad thing. I have a lovely little Sony 4Gb player with built in noise cancellation that I almost never use anymore as I can't be bothered to keep my music library on both my MAC and my old Windoze laptop.

And it won't work even if it does show a mass storage device when it's plugged in.

You will be able to copy the files to it... but without the proper software the files will just sit on the player and it won't know what to do with them as the sonicstage software is required to write the play list database on the player.
