cant delete,

hi everyone,
can anybody help me with the following
i have a shortcut on my desktop ( REVO UNINSTALLER ) when i try to delete it is says i do not have permission to perform this action.
i don't have the program installed on my computer, and its driving me mad.
can someone please tell me how to get rid of
this nuisance.
any advice appreciated.
