Every time I switch on my PC, a window pops up which states the above, and I delete it and then another window appears which states `Installing Photo Gallery` which I again delete because I have no software to install it. What I want to know is how do I stop these from popping up every time I switch on? I hope this is clear enough to understand. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

click start > run and type in msconfig and hit enter, then click on the startup tab and have a look down the list for something that looks like windows installer and take the tick out from next to it click ok and restart and it should be gone.

You will get a warning to say the startup has been changed when it goes into windows, put a tick in the "don't tell me this again" box and click ok
Could this be something to do with your scanner?
