best anti virus

which anti virus is the best? i have norton but even tho fully protected!!! virus's still got in and fried my other laptop can you please advise on which to get as there ae so many and in confoosed

Avast is my favourite so i suggest you go for that one and its free. Oh and superantispyware for spyware.

Norton is rubbish!

generally the two top rated ones at the moment are kaspersky and nod32 (both of which are pay for)

for free you have avast as mentioned above and avg, which should provide decent enough protection for free.

As above has mentioned you also need decent antispyware software, adaware and super malwarebytes are also very good ones for free.

You should also install a better firewall than the windows one, zone alarm is also free and does a good job.

Chuck, Kaspersky is free with this link for a one year, although you have to online bank with Barclays and I agree Norton is cr@p and Kaspersky is great.
