Graphics tablet help!!!!!!!!!! please???

Ok so i want to buy a WACOM INTUOS 3 GRAPHICS TABLET for use on my 15.4 inch toshiba laptop. i run my laptop at 1280x800 but don't know whether i should get the normal intuos 3 tablet or the 'wide format' tablet (for wide screens) and what size? i'm debating over two, the wide ones come in either 4x6 inches or the 6x8 inches and i don't know how/whether either one would fit my screen properly etc? for example would the resolutions be all weird when i'm using it etc if i get the wrong one?

Anyone who knows what they are talking about in this feild pleeeaaase help me!!!!!!!!! i need to get one quite quickly!!!!!!

Ideally you want one that has the closest aspect ratio to your screen. The aspect ratio is just one side divided by the other.

You screen: 1280/800 = 1.6 (or 16 to 10 - Wide)

Wacom 6x4: 6/4 = 1.5
Wacom 6x6: 8/6 = 1.33 (That ain't wide format!)

According to Wacom: "The 4x6, 6x11, and 12x19 tablets have active areas that are optimal for use with widescreen displays"

I am not familiar with the Intuos tablet. I have a Wacom Graphire 4 XL (8"x6") which is only used at home with Desktop PC.
If you are intending to carry this around with you to use on a laptop I would think that one with the smallest active area you are comfortable with would be best. Can you find a local shop which will let you try them out?
Once you get used to the pen either of the two you have mentioned should be OK.
Remember to keep a close eye on the pen as if you lose it you are in serious bother!

I was under the impression that tablets match the paper ... not the screen
