my mouse is starting to stick it is connected by a wire to the pc is there anything to clean the underside with I have changed the mouse mat and it's still the same is it a case of buying a new mouse and if so what do you think would be the best type

I guess it's a mouse with a ball on the underside..if so, a quarter turn to the left of the collar surrounding it will release the ball. Take it away and wash it. While it's out look inside, you'll see some really tiny rollers around the edge of where the ball sits. If you have pets or you're just plain dirty in general these rollers can get clogged up with all sorts of horrible stuff. Just joking, my wife is unbelievably house proud but it still used to happen to me before I went cordless and optical. Clean the rollers and reassemble. Should be fine!

when I said "take it away and wash it" I meant the ball, not the mouse obviously. If you've washed the entire mouse before you read this second bit, then oops and sorry.

no your alright camioneur it hasn't got a ball but I did have one like that,this one is a dell one with a red light underneath it

Strangely the colour or texture of the surface that the mouse is on can cause problems with an optical mouse.
Try other surfaces.
