I have 2 network adapters on my laptop and whenever Vista boots up, one of the network adapters is always disabled for some reason so I have to enable it before I can connect to the Internet properly. Why is it doing this? How do I prevent it from being disabled everytime Vista boots up?

check the BIOS to see if there is a setting in there for it.

my desktop has two gigabyte lan adapters
the red cross shows on the one that isn't connected ...

if you swap the ethernet cable you should be able to use the one that isn't disabled
