I recently installed a friends Norton 360 on my laptop taking advantage of the fact that it can be downloaded on 3 computers - it is running fine on mine (exception being the back up files option which I dont care about anyway).

However on his laptop the 'identity protection' is now switched off and we dont seem to be able to re-set it to cover phishing protection - is this because I have installed it on mine or just a co-incidence and how do I put it right ?

Should i uninstall mine and his, reinstall his and then buy a new one for me ot is there a workround ?

I know there will be those of you out there that say dont use Norton anyway but I have to deal with the current situation and sort his out - I might then download AVG on mine ?

btw I dont think it is anything to do with you installing it on your PC so do not make lots of work for yourself uninstalling yours and his and so on.

Your install and his are totally independent and will not affect each other.

I think the problem on his PC is more likely a problem he has with his browser, or other settings.

He may, for example, already have phishing software on from another product which overrides the Norton one.
